This image shows one of the "Wild Parrots of Nob Hill" of book and movie fame. This flock of feral parrots in San Francisco have recently been named to official animal of the City. The population most likely originated from escaped pets and has been growing slowly for many years. The species is native to South America. The complementary red and green colors of the species is beautifully shown here. s
