A pair of Plain Parakeets perched on a slender branch engage in the intimate behavior of allopreening. This behavior, where one bird preens the feathers of the other, is part of courtship and also used to maintain and strengthen the pair bond outside of the breeding season. These parakeets exhibit their close bond as they groom each other. With their various shades of green, I am not sure why they are called "plain". This moment captures the essence of companionship in the avian world, making it a delightful sight for parrot enthusiasts and bird lovers alike.
