This parrot was eating grass seeds and grass tubers, and, fortunately, let me get down low without flying off to get this image. The Eastern Rosella is one of, if not, the, most colorful birds in it genus. A subspecies, often called the Gold-mantled Rosella, has yellow, rather than green edges to the feathers on the back.
