The Maroon-bellied Parakeet, also called a Maroon-bellied Conure, perches nicely on a branch, showcasing its vibrant green feathers and distinctive maroon belly. The shield of border edged feathers on the birds breast is typical of parakeets in the genus, Pyrhurra. cIts playful demeanor and colorful appearance make it a favorite pet. I am always happy to see popular pet parrots in their natural habitat and getting a glimpse into their wild behavior and social interactions.
