This vibrant image captures a Red-tailed Parrot perched on a palm branch and with one of the purple fruits in his beak. His beak is actually stained purple from the juice of the fruit. These birds are in the genus, Amazona, a group of parrots that have mostly green feathers with different color patterns on their heads. These birds were quite shy, but we were able to get a few images while they were eating.
