A group of Lear's Macaws perch on tall tree cactus to warm up at sunrise. The striking blue feathers of the macaws contrast beautifully with the warm hues of the dawn sky, creating a captivating visual display. One macaw is captured in flying in to a perch, adding dynamic movement to the serene setting. The cactus indicates the arid landscape that these parrots call home. Lear's Macaws are a conservation success story, with a population low of less than one hundred having increased to close to 2,000 due to intensive, and ongoing, conservation efforts.
