This stunning close-up portrait showcases a Serval, a small wild cat native to Africa. The cat's distinctive oversized ears are used to hear prey moving through the under brush. Indeed, the Serval is more dependent on hearing to find prey than are most cats. The serval's keen gaze and elegant features are beautifully captured, revealing the essence of this agile hunter. Not seen in this image, Servals also have long legs, allowing them to listen from high vantage point.
