A Mountain Lion perches among the branches of an aspen tree, its keen gaze surveying the winter landscape. The scene captures the essence of a cold season, with the tree's bare branches and scattered orange leaves contrasting against the white snow below. This is the first Mountain Lion that I have seen, and what a thrill to see one. The Mountain Lion is in the Guinness Book of World Records as the species that has the most common names, at least 40! Commonly, they are called Mountain Lions, Pumas, or Cougars.
