This stunning image captures a leopard resting gracefully on a broken tree branch, showcasing its striking coat adorned with distinctive spots. Interesting, the pattern of a Leopard's coat is unique to that one cat, just as a person's fingerprints are unique to that one person. The cat is alert and resting in the shade of the trees canopy in the midday heat. The photograph highlights the elegance and beauty of this magnificent big cat. Leopards have a large that extends from sub-Saharan Africa through Asia to Indonesia. Despite the size of the range, the leopards have a spotty distribution due to habitat loss, conflicts with farmers, and poaching for pelts and body parts. The species is listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN. This image shows the first leopard that I have seen in the wild. I was simply overwhelmed and speechless for quite some time..
