The intense concentration of this Jaguar shows that it has seen some prey from its hiding place in some riverside bushes. I can't imagine what it would like to suddenly find one of these apex predators looking at you like this as you walk along the river. Fortunately, we were in a boat on the river, and the cat was watching some capybaras. Observing a jaguar in its natural environment is a thrilling experience, showcasing the beauty and raw power of this hunter.
