The male Glossy Black Cockatoo, known for its striking plumage and vibrant red tail feathers, is captured preening on a eucalyptus branch. This stunning bird showcases its unique features against a soft blue sky. The Glossy Black Cockatoo is native to Australia and is often seen in woodlands and forests, where it feeds almost exclusively on the seeds of she-oak trees. As she-oaks are logged and cleared for farmland, this species has trouble finding food. These cockatoos are currently listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List. Conservation efforts aimed at preserving this wonderful bird are ongoing.
